Pit bull attacks spur debate

Are pit bulls really vicious by nature? Or is it the way their owners ``nurture'' them that makes them the leading breed for fatal dog bites?

As lawmakers and police respond to a string of pit bull bites in the Bay Area, dog lovers are wondering whether violent canines are conceived or created.
