I am very concerned about the laws being passed in Denver. Now Aurora is trying to pass a pit bull ban as well. I strongly oppose these laws and believe we can handle this issue in a better way.
It is not the breed that is the problem but the owners. Please do not let them kill anymore precious family dogs. Pass laws that protect the breed against bad owners. Consider decisions based on each dogs deeds not the dogs breed.
American Staffordshire Terriers are actually a happy, affectionate, intelligent, relieable, stable dog who make a wonderful family pet. They are especially good with children and are a very loving dog. Its the bad owners that ruin the dog. Some dogs I agree need to be put down for they are ruined by people. Trained to be agressive, mistreated, abused. But, not all owners are this way, not all pits are this way!
